About Us
Detroit-made. Technician-trusted. Built for the brake systems that stop North America's transit fleets.
Our Story
Fraser Gauge Company
Fraser Gauge & Tool Company was founded in 1970 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan — built around one principle: the people who maintain commercial vehicle brake systems deserve tools and parts that are engineered to the same standard as the vehicles they service.
For over five decades, we have manufactured precision brake measurement tools used by transit agencies, fleet operators, and brake technicians across North America. Our gauges are in maintenance bays from Detroit to Los Angeles. Our remanufactured EX225 calipers are on buses that stop thousands of times a day.
We are not a catalog distributor. We are a manufacturer. Every caliper that leaves our facility has been completely disassembled, inspected, remanufactured to OEM specification, and tested before it ships. We stand behind our work because our name is on it.

ProRev Disc Pads were developed because transit agencies needed a copper-free pad formulated specifically for the stop-and-go duty cycles of heavy commercial vehicles — not a passenger car compound scaled up and relabeled. Zero copper. Full compliance with the Better Brake Law in every state. Ships UPS or Freight FOB Detroit.

Our Mission & Values
We build what we sell. Every caliper is remanufactured in Detroit to OEM specification. Every gauge is precision-made and tested before it ships.
Our team speaks the language of brake technicians. When you call us, you talk to someone who knows the EX225 adjuster mechanism — not a call center script.
Commercial vehicle brakes stop buses carrying passengers. We treat every part we ship with that responsibility in mind. There is no acceptable failure rate.
Over 55 years of manufacturing in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. We have outlasted trends, supply chain disruptions, and offshore competition because quality is not negotiable.
Why Transit Agencies Choose Us
We have been building brake measurement tools and remanufacturing calipers since before most of today's fleet managers were born. That depth of experience is in every product we ship.
Call (313) 882-9192 and speak to someone who can tell you the correct adjuster torque spec for an EX225H2 without looking it up. That is the level of support we provide.
Our remanufactured calipers and ProRev pads are validated in the stop-and-go duty cycles of transit buses — not in a laboratory simulation. They perform because they are built for the application.
We lead the industry in developing environmentally responsible solutions that meet regulatory requirements without compromising performance.
Inside Our Detroit Facility
Every caliper and tool we ship is built or rebuilt in our Grosse Pointe, Michigan facility — the same building we have operated from for over 55 years.
